Dermaplaning is an advanced skin care procedure which uses a blade to gently remove the layers of dead skin cells from the epidermis. In doing so, this removes all the fine vellus hairs (peach fuzz) resulting in a much smoother texture to the surface of the skin.

This course is fully accredited with the Centre of CPD Excellence so you can gain insurance. We are partnered with Insync Insurance where you can save 5% off your first year's insurance. A small kit is provided but this does not include a skincare kit. Should you wish to purchase a skincare kit, please let us know prior to your training and we can assist you. Please note, you will not be able to purchase skincare products on the day.

Pre~requisites:

This course is available to therapists with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or someone with a Level 3 in Anatomy & Physiology. If you do not hold a Level 3 or 4 but do have other qualifications that are directly related to this area of work, particularly if you work with needles please contact us to see if we will accept your qualification as a pre-requisite for enrolment. We can also assist you with your Level 3 qualification to allow access to this training.

This is a hands-on course which includes theory (to be sent prior to training day) demonstrations and practice on live models. A maximum of just 4 students means that you get focused tutoring.

Practical Training

Students usually work on each other so if there are any reasons why you can't have this treatment then please advise us on booking. We can provide models for your practical sessions, however, we must be notified in advance. Failure to do so may result in not enough models available for you to work on. Students will be very carefully observed and continuously assessed to make sure they reach the required standard and are competent to work independently or within a clinic.
