Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers have been used for many years to reduce the deeper lines of the face such as the nasolabial lines (nose to mouth lines) and marionette lines (downward lines from the corners of the mouth). These form due to the nature of the ageing process where the bone decreases in density and the fat pads in the face reduce and slip causing extra or deeper creases. In addition to 'filling out' these lines and wrinkles, we can also use the same process to give the face back structure where it may have been lost or where you would like more definition i.e. the cheekbones.

As these treatments have evolved we are now able to restructure and redefine areas and contours of the face that we haven't been able to before. By using filler correctly we can now volumise cheeks, restructure the jawline, improve the appearance and balance of the chin, reduce the dark circles under the eye and restructure the nose. All without the need for surgery!

There are many types of dermal fillers that can be injected in these areas but the most common fillers today are products that contain substances similar to hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body.

BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS

  • Dermal Fillers can give volume and definition to create more structure and reduce deeper lines and wrinkles;

  • Gives a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance;

  • Can help structure the face by using special techniques;

  • The treatment has virtually no recovery time necessary; you can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment;

  • Non-permanent and will naturally break down over 9 - 12 months;

  • Suitable for Vegans;

  • Cheek augmentation treatment can be tailored to your needs whether you would like a natural or contoured look;

  • All procedures are bespoke meaning that we will create the 'right' look for you to enhance your natural features;

  • Depending on the look required, it is sometimes best to opt for a package as you can treat multiple areas giving maximum effect whilst saving money in the long-term compared with having the treatments done separately.

The effects typically last around 9 - 12 months but vary on the individual. You will need to have further injections to maintain your new look.
